How BlakeBeard’s Stash works
Let's Start with how you get the perk
How to Obtain: BlakeBeard's Stash is the new team perk that you get for completing the last quest for the pirate event
Note: It doesn't appear as part of the questline, but it does have voice acting, and will appear in your hero quests tab
How the actually stash works:
Eliminations have a 5% chance to drop BlakeBeard's Stash
Note: It Spawns from ANY eliminations meaning enemies you don't damage
Facts about the Stash
- Multiple Stashes can be spawned at once
- It works like a chest, so if you take damage when trying to open it it will interrupt you
- Unless ordinary chests the stash is indestructible
- Only Players with BlakeBeard's Stash can interact with it
Contains: ~4 Cannonballs, 6~ Coconuts, and 1 Peg-Leg
The amount of Coconuts and Cannonballs varies, but the chest will always drop 1 Peg Leg
The Items
Taking from using a pl130 Blakebeard(not account pl) in a pl3 mission
First let's talk about them collectively;
The Items you get will try to scale to the level of your mission.
so here's the range from the lowest mission (pl3) to the highest (pl100)
Cannonball pl41-82
Peg Leg pl85-130
Coconut pl34-71
That's all for them collectively now onto how they actually work
The Coconut:
The Coconut functions just like the ones that spawn from the Goin' Coconuts perk; Initial heal folllowed by a heal over time and a damage buff (but only if you have the Goin' Coconuts perk slotted) If you give them to other people they can still heal but they don't receive the buff.
The Cannonball:
The Cannonball functions similiar to a Soldier's Frag Grenade, with a few differences
- The Cannonball is much more bouncy and doesn't lose as much momentum when bouncing
- Lower throwing trajectory
- When it explodes it will release 4 smaller bombs that explode after a few seconds.
The Peg-Leg:
and last but not least we have the Peg Leg. First let's start with it's stat block
As you can see from the screenshot the Peg Leg has stats comparable to an equivalent level Legendary weapon with maxed perks. The Peg Leg uses the baseball bat attack pattern and heavy attack. The major drawback of this weapon is that you only get about 15 hits before it breaks so make sure you have a backup ready!
